Schaut man sich einen fr\u00fchen Porsche 911 aus den 1960er Jahren an, f\u00e4llt einem im Gegensatz zur jetzigen Baureihe auf, dass der 911 ein wenig breiter und volumin\u00f6ser geworden ist. Ganz so verh\u00e4lt es sich auch bei der Neuauflage des 911 x 911 Buches, erschienen im Motorbuch-Verlag. Der 911 ist in seiner aktuellen Version mehr als ein nur ein Sportwagen, er ist ein Grand Tourismo, ein Rallye-Renner und immer noch ein Rennwagen f\u00fcr die Stra\u00dfe geblieben. Die B\u00fccher 911 x 911, es handelt sich um zwei B\u00fccher in einem Schmuckschuber, nimmt die neue Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des 911er auf. Auf 1200 Seiten wird in den beiden B\u00fcchern der Versuch unternommen das einzigartige Universum des Erfolgtyps Porsche 911 zu veranschaulichen. Ob der Versuch gelingt muss jeder Leser f\u00fcr sich entscheiden. Hervorragend ist auf jeden Fall die Bildauswahl, die im Grunde schon ein Buch wert ist. Handelt es sich doch um zum Teil noch nie gezeigtes Bildmaterial gepaart mit zeitgen\u00f6sischen Anzeigen oder typischen Porsche-Werbeaufnahmen. Dies und die vielen kleinen Detail-Informationen machen die B\u00fccher zum Dokumenten-Archiv f\u00fcr jeden Porsche 911 Fan. Aber Achtung nicht jeder Porsche passt heute noch in eine Garage von 1960. So brauchen auch die B\u00fccher 911 x 911 ihren Platz im Buchregal. If you look at an early Porsche 911 from the 1960s, you will notice that the 911 has become a little wider and bulkier than the current model series. This is also the case with the new edition of the 911 x 911 book, published by Motorbuch-Verlag. In its current version, the 911 is more than just a sports car, it is a grand tourer, a rally racer and still a racing car for the road. The 911 x 911 books, which are two books in a decorative slipcase, reflect the new size of the 911. Over 1200 pages, the two books attempt to illustrate the unique universe of the successful Porsche 911. Each reader must decide for themselves whether the attempt is successful. In any case, the selection of pictures is outstanding and is basically worth a book in itself. Some of the images have never been shown before, paired with contemporary advertisements or typical Porsche advertising shots. This and the many small pieces of detailed information make the books a document archive for every Porsche 911 fan. But beware, not every Porsche today fits into a garage from 1960, so the 911 x 911 books also need their place on the bookshelf. But for a Porsche fan this should not be a problem.
