The Porsche 959, built in 1986/87, has already become a legend. Only 200 of the cars were made, and the original price of $ 630,000 has jumped up to well over $ 2,000,000 on the second-hand market.

In this book, Jürgen Lewandowski presents a detailed, fully illustrated account of the development of the 959, from the basic 911 model via the rallye version to the road-going “sports car of superlatives,” supplemented by technical data on all the versions of the car.

The volume also includes a chapter on the racing and rallying history of the 959 and its even more powerful stablemate, the 961, together with a test report on the fastest road-going Porsche ever built.
