Porsche Carrera RS 50 YEARS 1972-2022

What a party for the Porsche RS. BMB Berlin Motor Books presented its latest book “Porsche Carrera RS 50 YEARS 1972-2022” in the holy halls of Porsche guru Ande Votteler. If the Porsche 911 RS is still an epitome of lightweight construction, the new book about the Porsche RS, published by BMB under the direction of Andreas Gabriel, with a weight of 2.9 KG and a volume of 330 pages, is the opposite of the racing car for the road. For every RS owner this book is a must, for every Porsche fan another exciting book about one of the most fascinating sports cars of the Stuttgart sports car forge. In-depth contributions from Porsche legend Roland Kussmaul and absolute Porsche RS collector and specialist Johan-Franck Dirickx make the book as much a collector’s item as the Porsche RS itself.

To stand once in the halls of Ande Votteler, which are filled with the finest Porsche automobiles from the beginnings of Porsche history to models of the 993 series, is an experience in itself. Patina is all around the one or other Porsche 356 in the old factory halls, up to beautifully restored Speedsters that have been rebuilt true to the original down to the smallest detail. In addition, six Porsche 911 RS from the legendary collection of the Belgian Johan-Franck Dirickx joined the book presentation. Among them is not only the Porsche 911 RS from 1973, his collection extends to the 964 RS, a 964 RS 3.8 and is far from over. A feast for every Porsche fan to see part of his unique RS collection once again in the Swabian outback. Another highlight came together with Roland Kussmaul. Even if Kussmaul came because of the good weather on his ” nearby” standard motorcycle, he had his private Porsche 964 RS to book presentation with him. A red RS with eye-catching details like red painted rims and black painted details on the Porsche. It is one of the test cars from the RS series, the K47 which is owned by Roland Kussmaul. Roland answered enough questions about the Porsche RS and his jewel. The one or other tip to increase the performance like a slight change at the fairing of the air filter (brings approx. 6 HP more) will be implemented by the one or other visitor soon at the own Porsche. None of the guests went home without one of the books and each book was signed with dedication. A great celebration for the Porsche RS and for the book “Porsche Carrera RS 50 YEARS 1972-2022” from BMB Berlin Motor Books.
